๐Ÿงพ Ingredients

Empanada Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup sourdough discard (ya active starter)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil ya butter

  • ยฝ tsp salt

  • 2โ€“4 tbsp water (zaroorat ke mutabiq)

Filling (Chicken / Beef / Veg โ€“ jo pasand ho)

  • 1 cup cooked chicken ya beef (chopped)

  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)

  • 1 tsp garlic paste

  • ยฝ tsp cumin powder

  • ยฝ tsp paprika

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp oil

(Veg option: potatoes, peas, corn ya mushrooms use kar sakte ho)

Step 1: Dough Prepare Karein

  • Ek bowl me flour aur salt mix karein

  • Ab sourdough discard aur oil add karein

  • Thora thora pani daal kar soft dough banayein

  • Dough ko 5โ€“7 min ache se knead karein

Step 2: Dough Rest Karein

  • Dough ko cover kar ke 1โ€“2 hours room temperature par rest karne dein

  • Is se dough elastic ho jata hai aur taste improve hota hai


Step 3: Filling Banayein

  • Pan me oil garam karein

  • Onion aur garlic fry karein jab tak light golden ho

  • Chicken / beef add karein

  • Sare spices aur salt daal kar 3โ€“4 min cook karein

  • Filling ko thanda hone dein


Step 4: Empanadas Shape Karein

  • Dough ko chote balls me divide karein

  • Har ball ko round shape me roll karein

  • Beech me 1โ€“2 tbsp filling rakhein

  • Half fold karein aur edges fork se seal karein


Step 5: Bake ya Fry

Baking Option (Healthy):

  • Oven preheat karein 180ยฐC

  • Empanadas ko tray par rakh kar 20โ€“25 min bake karein

  • Golden brown hone par nikal lein

Frying Option:

  • Medium heat par oil garam karein

  • Empanadas ko fry karein jab tak golden na ho jayein
